Ashburn: The number of jobs posted by the companies that subscribe to the service of online IT jobs marketplace Corp-Corp.com shows a steady growth of IT consulting and contracting job market in the U.S. during the year 2009. Similar trends are seen in January and February 2010 and the company predicts that the projects for the consulting market to grow by four percent compared to the first quarter of 2009.

Even when overall job market was declining in 2009, the IT consulting and contracting market stabilized in 2009. Last year saw a greater demand for skills like Java, Sys Admin, .NET, SAP and QA. These six skills contributed to the 50 percent of the overall contracting jobs. Java and Sys admin skills had the strongest demand. The trend is similar in the first quarter of 2010, so far.
